I have been in education for 34 years. I began teaching at the Community College of Denver in 1994. The last fifteen years I taught everything from beginning algebra to calculus II. In 1999, I was introduced to the concept of multiple intelligence. Since then, my students have walked away from my classes “singing a different tune” – literally – about mathematics.

I firmly believe that the less fearful a student is of mathematics, the more likely they are to relax, learn, and even enjoy the math. The rhythms of the music and the patterns of math are a natural match.
